The most recent developments in image production allow for a new kind of realism, one, which has caused a further rift between objects and their representation. As a result, our physical relationship with images and things in our daily environment is changing.

Navid Nuur creates sculptures, installations and text works which often make use of the “aura” of a particular material. For instance, he produces a sculpture out of melting ice lollies just as easily as from blocks of Oasis polystyrene foam. In a nimble and poetic manner Nuur investigates the soul of the things that surround us.
