The photographs used in the Based in Berlin exhibition’s graphic design are double exposures by photographer Heji Shin. Studio shots from the Thomas Demand studio were superimposed with pictures of its garden to create an image of the simultaneity between the production of art, the art exhibition and the exhibition space in Monbijoupark.

Le travail de Sophie Jodoin se caractérise par l’usage exclusif du noir et blanc, le phénomène sériel de répétition, l’épuration de la présentation visuelle. Ses œuvres se concentrent principalement sur la représentation de la figure humaine par le biais du dessin, de la peinture et de la photographie.
L’exposition collective Body No / Body explore trois thèmes principaux : l’intériorité, l’imagination et le corps lui-‐même comme récepteur et émetteur de signes. Jouant avec le contexte dans lequel elles sont exposées, les sculptures de Laurent Le Deunff reprennent souvent des archétypes (grotte, rocher, cerf…). Elles font autant écho à des formes ancestrales, voir préhistoriques qu’à d’autres proches de cultures vernaculaires.

Chacune des œuvres de l’artiste allemande Katrin Ströbel est liée à un séjour effectué dans une ville qui lui est étrangère. Elle note des évènements fortuits et apparemment insignifiants sous forme d’esquisses fragmentaires, pour les inscrire ensuite dans un nouveau contexte sémantique.

Lancement ce week-end à la librairie de la Galerie Yvon Lambert de Picture Sculpture, disponible en ligne ce lundi. Ce nouveau livre de 190 pages du collectif Je Suis une Bande de Jeune, imprimé en noir et blanc et en couleurs en Risographie, est consacré aux travaux personnels de trois des membres fondateurs Aurélien Arbet, Jérémie Egry et Nicolas Poillot.
