As an exhibition, Song carries a particular tempo, closer to the time of reading than the time of looking. Alejandro Cesarco creates rhythm in his work by incorporating silences and withholdings: here the moving image works are presented sequentially, gently introducing a pace and flow to the installation and immersing the viewer in an aesthetic that the artist has elsewhere characterized as “muted melodrama.”

The challenging project of Bleu is to translate Alix Marie’s three-dimensional approach to photography into book form. Marie’s practice merges sculpture, photography and installation. For Paul Mpagi Sepuya, his medium is as much about disclosure as concealment, the role of the photographer ultimately one of control. Central to his practice is the undisguised and frequently experimental use of mirrors, which draws the viewer’s attention to the images’ photographic artifice, complicating the experience of looking at a subject, while also engendering a mystifying effect.

Marcin Dudek‘s “Steps & Marches.” is a collaborative exhibition with Chapter I taking place in Brussels and Chapter II in London at Edel Assanti Gallery. Each exhibition begins with the artist retracing his steps as a teenage member of the Cracovia football fan club.

αστάρια | Amorces, notre co-édition avec l’artiste Michel Mazzoni, est officiellement présentée en France, à partir d’aujourd’hui, par les Éditions Énigmatiques au Cosmos Arles Books.
« αστάρια » (Amorces) est un projet auquel Michel Mazzoni a travaillé pendant des années, par étapes successives, et parfois dans le même temps que l’édition de ses autres livres. Ce nouvel opus éclaire la genèse respective des précédents autant qu’il nous montre la quintessence de la recherche de l’auteur comme pratique artistique. C’est aussi bien un retour qu’un nouveau commencement avec des allées-venues inattendues. Dans ce livre, les images se côtoient sur le principe du télescopage et de l’écho avec des fac-similés de textes scientifiques. L’utilisation d’un papier bible permet de révéler le fantôme de chaque image.
