L’ESCAUT ARCHITECTURES – NEW FILES

The Beta version of the new L’Escaut Architectures‘ website is online. L’Escaut will keep on filling the projects until late June. These projects are formulated through various practices. Within the studio, the team of architects works with people from the performing and fine arts (actors, directors, theatre designers, producers, etc.).


PRIX PHOTOGRAPHIE OUVERTE

Pour cette seizième édition, Colin Delfosse s’est vu décerner le Prix National Photographie Ouverte, tandis que Annelies De Mey recevait le Prix de la Ministre de la Culture et David Marlé le Prix de la SOFAM. Le Prix De Beukelaer est allé à Martine Zunini et le Prix du Soir à Max Pinckers. Thierry Julliand et Sanne De Wilde ont reçu respectivement le Prix Fotografie circuit Vlaanderen et le Prix Encadrements Jean Salgaro.

BIS71 – PROBABILITY SPACE

BIS71 is a new center for contemporary art on the Rijksweg Noord in Geleen. This is a space for contemporary artists of national and international origin, where lovers of art and architecture can meet. The opening exhibition is an installation by Rob Johannesma (Geleen, 1970) called Probability Space and it comprises walls with papers, newspaper photos and reproductions of them.

RETHINKING LOCATION ANYTIME ANYWHERE EVERYTHING

Josué Rauscher est artiste et commissaire d’exposition. Son œuvre est essentiellement constituée de photographies et de sculptures réalisées avec une assez grande économie de moyen. Son exposition babel balbutie a été spécialement conçue pour l’espace virtuel chez-robert, maison fondée en 2007 par Michel Delacroix.

ARCANGELO SASSOLINO – TIME TOMB

After studies in mechanical engineering, Arcangelo Sassolino soon began attending the School of Visual Art in New York (SVA). These divergent paths culminate in an approach to sculpture that takes cues from the work of the great Minimalist artists. For houses 5 and 6 of Z33 Arcangelo Sassolino has built a gigantic and slow metronome that is continuously in motion. More works here.
