Galerie photographique BJ, Paris. 05.03.2014 > 20.04.2014.
Vernissage et signature du livre le 4 mars à 18h30, 92 rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006 Paris.

In his early twenties Johan Tahon dug up in the center of Ghent a majolica milk jug. It proved to be an important discovery: it was made by the Antwerp ceramist of Italian descent Guido Andries. Andries introduced majolica in the Netherlands and in 1520 put up a kiln in the Kammenstraat, not far from where gallery Valerie Traan is now located. Johan Tahon shows for the first time his versions of the albarello, or pharmacist’s pot, capriciously covered with white enamel.

Sélections de sites Internet: Alexandra Bachzetsis, Olaf Breuning, Christoph Büchel, Claudia Comte, Urs Fischer, Gianni Jetzer, Mia Marfurt, Pipilotti Rist, Kilian Rüthemann, Olympia Scarry, Roman Signer, Tobias Spichtig and Not Vital.
Elevation 1049, Gstaad. 27.01.2014 > 08.03.2014. L’exposition est gratuite.

Superficial Hygiene aims to introduce to the Netherlands a set of practices of a younger generation of artists who employ, adapt, and corrupt the grammar of our accelerated environment to propose a new understanding of the relation between the mediated image and text, and objects and the physical body. The most recent developments in image production allow for a new kind of realism, one, which has caused a further rift between objects and their representation. As a result, our physical relationship with images and things in our daily environment is changing.

Splash, Can And Cock is an art exhibition display behind the window, during winter 2013-14. It plays with the light and the interior/exterior relations. Pieces seem to lay behind the glass to be enjoyed by the passer-bys. Illuminated from the inside, the piece creates warmth and also questions the setting of any shop window or private space open to the outside. Jakup Auce’s new work (Kimberly Clark, 2013) was created for the occasion, while Carl Palm’s piece (Plage de Bureau, 2013) has been travelling for the last months. Curated by Sonia Dermience and Alberto García del Castillo.
Komplot, Bruxelles. 30.10.2013 > 15.03.2014.
