SCULPTURES

altblog – Paulien Follings

altblog-EtienneCourtois
Following visits of fifty-some artists studios in Belgium, the gallery will present works by nine very diverse and emerging artists. The title of the exhibition not only refers to the eponymous restaurant in Ghent where the idea was born during a lunch meeting in between studio visits. It also underlines the ambition of these nine artists as well as the purpose of the show, to put a spotlight on talented artists who haven’t yet had many opportunities to showcase their works: Sarah Caillard, Étienne Courtois, Kasper De Vos, Douglas Eynon, Julien Goniche, Liesbeth Henderickx, Alejandra Hernández, Sanam Khatibi and Klaas Vanhee.

altblog---Seth-David-Friedman
Seth David Friedman creates sculptures which look as if they came out of a body or are ready to go in one. “Where one man put finished sculpture into the earth for future generations and organizations to remain inspired, the next man pulls raw rock out of the very same earth and converts them into new signs in pursuit of preserving old histories” Jessica Powers in Artslant

altblog – Daniel Gustav Cramer
Daniel Gustav Cramer’s exhibition is in its essence a portrait of a landscape, of a man on a road, lost in his thoughts; it’s a portrait of the experience of a single moment. If you take this image as a starting point, the exhibition unfolds and reveals the different faces a journey can have.
