POMPIDOU CENTER OPENING – METZ

The Centre Pompidou-Metz opens its doors for five full days. The 12,000 m2 cultural complex includes 6,000 m2 of exhibition space all contained under the roof.
ARCHITECTURE: Shigeru Ban, Jean de Gastines and Philip Gumuchdjian won the international competition in 2003. GRAPHIC DESIGN: Logo and visual guideline by Donuts, the collective studio of graphic designers based in Brussels who created the identity of the last Biennale de Lyon.

Diagonales : son, vibration et musique combines visits to exhibitions in ten regions in France, as well as in Benelux, and brings together 20 contemporary art centers around a common issue: the place of sound and music in contemporary creation from the 1960s to the present, as seen through a selection of works from the Centre national des arts plastiques (CNAP). The exhibition Listen to your eyes is the first event in the series. Visual identity of the event by the graphic studio akatre.
