The installation hopes to animate the spatial flexibility of the work and the remarkable regard the artists show for a perceptually precise dialogue with the viewer. Le mot Bikini a été créé en 1946 par un créateur de mode français en référence à l’atoll de Bikini, une île située dans le Pacifique Sud où fût testée la nouvelle bombe atomique. BIKINI est aussi un nom parfait pour une exposition qui par hasard ne regroupe que des hommes: Jacques André, Art & Language, Miguel Egana, David Evrard, Tetsumi Kudo, Julien Meert, Nicolas Milhé, Jacopo Miliani et Michaël Van Den Abeele. First exhibition curated by Karin Vermeire in a series in which works by two artists confront one another. This will be a face-to-face encounter between two artists from the same generation living in Brussels, the French painter Xavier Noiret-Thomé and the Belgian sculptor Paul Casaer.

Sympathy for the Devil, la deuxième exposition de la Vanhaerents Art Collection, rassemble les œuvres d’artistes internationaux donnant forme aux idées véhiculées par le morceau éponyme des Rolling Stones. La rénovation du bâtiment industriel de 1926, d’une superficie de 3500 m² et la nouvelle construction ont été exécutées par le bureau d’architecture Robbrecht & Daem.
