Two young designers, Lenneke Wispelwey and Paula Arntz, graduated from the Department of Product Design at the ArtEZ  Academie Arnhem, work independently, but exhibit together. They show products of porcelain and paper based on a principle that each of them developed independently, but which shares a very similar festive atmosphere. Lenneke Wispelwey loves working with ceramics in small series, and feels her work should make people smile.

SIGNS-Colour Wood2

This series of side tables designed by Scholten & Baijings (Amsterdam) explore crafts traditions and the characteristics of thinned wood. The symbolic superimposition of a contemporary conception and traditional values and techniques are reflected in overlaying various transparent layers: the texture of the wood, stain colour and printed graphic patterns. Colour wood is available from Japanese company Karimoku.
