Organisée par le studio graphique parisien Vier5 en 2001, l’exposition First Review présentait une sélection d’oeuvres réalisées par de jeunes artistes. Neuf ans après, l’exposition est de nouveau présentée par le CAC Brétigny avec une liste d’artistes légèrement modifiée. En découle alors une question essentielle : quels jeunes artistes sont restés fidèles à leur style et exercent encore leur métier. Navid Nuur creates sculptures, installations and text works which often make use of the “aura” of a particular material. For instance, he produces a sculpture out of melting ice lollies just as easily as from blocks of Oasis polystyrene foam. In a nimble and poetic manner Nuur investigates the soul of the things that surround us.
